How can I use my SD card on Droid TV?

I have a cruz tablet and I go to prefences for the SD card and put 12 GB available; but it always says I don't have the space. I notice that it isn't going to the card. How can I change this so the programs go to the card?

    Check your settings make sure files/whatever are going to the memory card the not internal memory
