xbox 360 rrod help!!!!!?
i got a free 360 with the rrod i know that there is a permanent way to fix it but i need certain screws and washers but couldn't i just replace the Arctic silver and when or if i get the rrod again then fix it?
note: it already has the warrentee broken from when my friend bought it referbished from gamestop.
I'v heard of that but i just dont trust 8 lincoln's in my xbox.
i'd prefer to have it completely fixed with actual tech parts.
also my friend had it off and unplugged for about 2 years he just gave it to me when i asked.

actually there is no way for you to repair it PERMANENTLY
you might be able to do a TEMPORARY fix by doing the penny trick, replacing the screws and heatsync paste.
if you wanted it fixed permanetly you would need to take it to a professional that used a BGA rework station to reball and reflow the motherboard
