Are Vegans against hunting animals for food?
Would Vegans make it illegal to hunt and kill animals for food if they had their way?
Why is it ok for a wolf pack to rip a dear apart and eat it while it's still alive? If I were a dear, I'd rather be shot and eaten by a human.

Most vegans and even vegetarians I have met and dealt with are so narrow minded and intolerant of anything that dose not fit with their unrealistic view of life would ban hunting and just about anything else...unless it meets their criteria.

Vegans are against anything not codified in the belief system that they follow like religion. No other explanation other than it is against the "rules".
You see from the answers, it does not matter if it is for food which some poor human needs for survival. If it is hunting, even to save another human life, most vegans are still against it.

Yes, vegans object to hunting for food, as humans really do not need to eat meat to be healthy. Wolves, on the other hand, are carnivorous animals who DO need to eat meat to survive. A wolf (or any other carnivorous beast) can use his/her speed to chase the animal, claws to catch and kill the animal, and sharp teeth to consume the animal's raw flesh. Compare that to a human who has to use all sorts of deceits to lure the deer, weapons to kill the deer, tools to separate the flesh from the bones, fire to cook the flesh, and then flavorings to season the flesh so it's palatable.
That said, I object less to people who go out and kill woodland critters to eat than those who buy their sanitized packages of meat from the grocery store. At least a hunter recognizes that someone must die for him to eat meat.

Yes, vegans are against hunting animals for food, as we don't have to eat animals to get all the necessary nutrition for our bodies.
Vegans are not a collective, not a political party or a club. There is no way as yet for vegans to make anything illegal.
Edit: *deer*
