Is it true that microwaved water kills plants?

I highly doubt it.

Update:

Thank you. This site says flat out that it's just another urban myth.

But I'm still wondering if there's some truth to it.

The water will not kill the plants so much as the heat will.

A lot of it also depends on the properties of the plants and how hot the water actually gets. Some things will die if the water reaches 100 degrees Celsius, while others can still live.

Also, water cools very quickly, so the chances of you getting the water hot enough to kill a plant is highly unlikely. You would also need a very large quantity of water to accomplish this. Since water will start to evaporate at 100 degrees Celsius you will lose a lot of water due to evaporation in the microwave.

A microwave in simple terms heats water (microwaved nutrition is cooked with the aid of the heating of the water contained interior of that nutrition), in simple terms as the different technique of heating water. this would not influence the water in any opposite direction nonetheless, hence does not avert plant enhance.

No if it cools down. If its still hot then it won't kill the plants. There is no radioactivity in microwaving stuff, so its very safe...

Why do you think we microwave food so we can eat it?

If you put the hot food in your mouth without letting it cool down then it would hurt your toungue wouldn't it?

If you let it cool down and then eat it...well it won't hurt.

    Common sense.

Why would you microwave water you are going to use for plants?
