KVM switch for Laptop & Desktop with 2 monitors?

I am trying to find a KVM Switch that will handle this setup? any suggestions?

Desktop is Intel i5 currently running Windows XP, but will upgrade to Windows 7 soon. Desktop has dual monitor setup with one video card.

Laptop is running XP and will probably get Win7 soon as well.

I would like to be able to plug in the laptop to my desktop's keyboard, monitors and mouse via a KVM switch. Is there a way I can use the dual monitors, keyboard/mouse from the desktop with the laptop.

I have seen one monitor KVM switches, but is there support for dual monitors and if so, once I plug in the laptop, I guess I would have to use the desktop's 2 monitors and not the laptop screen.

I would appreciate any suggestions on switches to help with this setup.

Thanks in advance.

I typed "dual monitor kvm" into Newegg's search and found several models, supporting various different port combinations. Check what kind of ports you've got, and there will likely be one for you there. However, the laptop probably only has a single monitor output port, so unless you use a Matrox Dualhead splitter, it will only show up on a single external monitor along with the laptop's own screen. Only some late-model laptops support multiple outputs without a splitter.

What you're searching for is a KVM change. KVM = Keyboard, Video, Mouse. many times, a KVM is to regulate different computer's from one keyboard, mouse and reveal screen. those are extremely a lot less extreme priced and available. some KVM's, although, enable different keyboards, mice and video reveal gadgets to one computer. verify earlier you purchase one which the KVM works in this way. those device's are not as a lot less extreme priced or available... you need to jerry rig (sp) a setup. in many situations, the ports are not surely available for the keyboard, mouse and reveal screen. Get an extension wire for each to carry the ports on your table actual (the actual one, not residing house windows...). Then get your cables to bypass from the distant keyboards, mice and video reveal gadgets and convey them to the extensions. change as necessary. note that each and every cable has their distance limits so there is going to be a max distance you may bypass for the keyboard, mouse and reveal screen. once you're available, you need to purchase the connectors from radio shack or similar keep, and cables one after the other and cause them to your self. on occasion, with longer cables, it is more low-priced to make than to purchase.
