Could boomboxes make a comeback?

Hello, I am a young audiophile and an inventor. If anyone here uses an ipod they know they are ****, crappy digital to analogue converter, crappy amp that can barely power a decent set of headphones ect. But everyone bought them because they are stupid and there hasn't really been any innovation.

I came up with a solution but it was too big to fit in a pocket, so I made it bigger. I saw in a movie a long time ago people carried large boxes to listen to their mp3s so I though maybe we could do that again.

Would anyone be interested in buying this boombox if someone made them again with a quality desktop system performance, digital music support but mobile? I would prefer them to headphones even because then everyone has to listen to your music.

No, because people preffer smaller and smaller electronics (iphones success being a mircle).

    So I doubt that.

Also, boomboxes used to play cassets and not mp3 files.
