If friends speak another language around you like your not there, and it makes you feel hurt and left out, is that insecurity? My girlfriend says it is. I know they are not talking about me.
I know they are Not talking about me. They all speak english and brag it is their first language. My girl friend starts talking in the other language first and they all follow when she leads.

I have to very close friends who are Swedish natives, and one of them is fluent in English, while the other one struggles. When we go on Skype, I listen to them and she's usually just translating and explaining what I said to him.

It depends. If you are there for a long time then that just means they are rude! if it's just for a little bit maybe a few minutes i wouldn't call it insecurity i guess it can just be uncomfortable unless you really think that they are talking about you.
