If friends speak another language around you like your not there, and it makes you feel hurt and left out, is that insecurity? My girlfriend says it is. I know they are not talking about me.

A couple and the family have plans to go somewhere and one gets home and find that they have company without notice from the other. The company was not mentioned even after talking on the phone three times in three hours that morning.
Should the one at home have at least out of consideration called and have warned the other in advance about the company knowing they were coming?
I am really disappointed as we planned this trip for about two weeks only to be let down. The night before we went shopping and the kids were getting really excited. That morning we spent time cooking, more shopping, and preparing for this trip.
This is causing a big fight, please voice your opinion.
