Is George Zimmerman going to prison because of public pressure?

Yes! Of course he is and for no other reason.

George Zimmerman, 28 was arrested and charged with second-degree murder Wednesday after weeks of mounting tensions and protests across the country. Second-degree murder means a killing that was not premeditated but resulted instead from an "imminently dangerous act" (like protecting ones own life) that showed a "depraved" lack of regard for human life, as any normal human being would if they were in fear for their life.

Special prosecutor Angela Corey announced the charges but would not discuss how she arrived at them, but I would guess it was because of things like:

Someone shot up an unoccupied police car Tuesday as it sat outside the neighborhood where Martin was killed. And a demonstration by college students closed the town's police station.

They admitted they prosecute because of public pressure when Corey claims, "are hoping that the community will calm down now that charges have been filed", but Corey still claims, "We do not prosecute by public pressure or by petition.", but anyone with two brain cells to rub together knows better than that, they are doing just that because of the public pressure, Why else would they wait 5 weeks and then over rule the District Attorney?

Update:

@ dstr. Are you really so stupid that you didn't know that they were both minorities???

Update 4:

@ Kwality. Undoubtablly you must be a liberal to not know what the Castle Doctrine law is that has been passed in 28 states. If you read the Flordia Castle Doctrine law you will see that a person does not have any duty to retreat and protect themselves with deadly force any where that they have a legal right to be.

Read these Libs posts...See why it is not possible to have a decent exchange with them? Plop truth right in their face and it just does not register. Their conservative bigotry is as deep as it gets. They accuse of of the most vile things. Then display the same. As if born natural to it. Libs are two faced and can't see it. Stab Justice in the back. Then claim to be her most ardent defenders.

Zimmerman is dead man walking. Life as he knew gone. Walks into prison, he's dead. By inmates. Walks out of court free? Still dead. Life gone and assassination will dog him.

All by politically bigoted pressure. While more young blacks ruin and destroy each others own lives. Amongst themselves and too themselves.

Of course he is.I hope that the judge assigned to the case will drop it due to lack of evidence. If it goes to trial where will they find an impartial jury??? If there is 1 black on the jury and at least 1 white it will be at best a HUNG jury

If you conceal carry, you should not go looking for trouble... end of story. You can dissect the law as much as you want, but ultimately the authorities will let the courts decide your fate. Once you leave the house or your vehicle, its a whole new ballgame. Be smart!

No, i answered a question like this earlier. He is going to Prison because he killed someone. Just think, if know you could possibly go to jail for accidentally hitting someone with your car, you know that shooting someone will get you years. The US is built on a, you did it system, and if you kill someone in any way or form it can land you in prison. The only way i think a person in the us could get by with killing someone is by defending themselves against a robbery, a house break in, or by defending yourself against someone else with a lethal weapon.

There will be a trial, and if he gets a "not guilty" verdict, there will be a nation wide chimp out over it.

There will be a bail hearing... He won't necessarily have to stay in jail until the trial.

Just wait for what the Chimps will do when the "Not Guilty" verdict is read. I mean really, they couldn't convict that one woman for killing her child (or at least covering it up) and that was a pretty much slam dunk case. Now they expect to be able to convict Zimmerman "beyond a reasonable doubt"? Please...waste of tax payer money.

If he serves any jail time it will be because he's found guilty of 2nd degree murder.

Personally I think he'll seek and be found guilty of manslaughter at worse.

No, they finally had the sense to realize that the man murdered someone and was walking free. He should have went to jail much earlier. What right did he have of killing that kid?
