But they were not using outer space.

If they were going to put up a satellite to do what they claimed the satellite was going to do, it would be impossible to position the satellite where they wanted it on the direction they fired the missile. They wanted a satellite that would be in a correct position over North Korea at a certain time of the day everyday according to their claim. Firing a missile to the south did not support that claim according to scientists who work in this field.
