Jordon amps were manufacturer in Pasedena, CA between about 1965 to 1972. The company folded then, and the principal partners went to work for Rickenbacker.
They produced several models of amps, and without know which one you have (they're all 120V), I can't tell you much more than that.
The amps were solid state, and from most reports did not sound that great. Aside from the "odd ball" factor, they're really not that collectible.
I found one listed on eBay, a J-80, asking about $130.
Good luck.

No, your idea will not work. Cars give 12V DC. You need 120V AC. It will work if you get a 12V to 120V inverter though. However, you may have to leave the engine running while you play to avoid killing the battery.
