It can take two or three years for your period to settle into a regular pattern. If you haven't had sex, you don't need to worry about being pregnant. And the discharge is normal (unless it's painful, itchy or smelly - and by smelly I don't mean the usual aroma of gentialia, I mean the sort of smell that makes you wonder "what died?" Otherwise, you're fine.).

Yes, I know, there are always a few urban legends going around about people getting pregnant from all kinds of non-intercourse situations. But these stories are not actually true; they're just stories. There's a tiny, tiny theoretical risk of pregnancy from contact with sperm on someone's finger or other object, but as far as I know there are NO medically documented cases of anyone becoming pregnant this way.

Of course, it's entirely possibly that your recent sexual experimentation with your boyfriend is causing you to think about taking it further, and to worry about avoiding pregnancy; and this worry could be the cause of your late period... in which case, I'd say: enjoy what you're doing; take it slow; and when you do eventually decide to have sex, use a condom.

I'm sure your period will appear when it's ready to. Good luck!

Don't worry it's completely normal. When you are younger your period is still irregular. I'm 14 too and miss my periods sometimes. I do the same kind of things with my boyfriend, but no sex don't worry you are safe

  • Your period is hiding. Go find it. 1....2....3
