HELP!!..what to do if ur glazed ham is too sweet?
im making a 9lb smoked ham and i glazed it but when i tasted the glaze i feel that it is too sweet.I already put some glaze on the ham and refrigerated for tomorrow but is there anyway that i can unsweetened the left over glaze without messing it up?? please help its my first time making ham and its for my moms birthday tomorrow. i need help ASAP!!!..thanx for ur time and help!

Good grace - those other answers are so dumb. I would think you would have most of the glaze sitting in you pan before you bake it - which is OK. I would recommend glazing before, and while the ham is baking.
As much as a pain as it might be, I would remove the ham, empty the glaze into a sauce pan and return the ham to the cooking pan.
Add to the sauce pan some white or apple cider vinegar to taste.
A big ham like that is probably OK with being sweet tho - my opinion.

You can try rinsing some of the Glaze OFF the Ham- with Warm Water... But That's about IT.

the glaze HAS to be very strong :) because when u eat it ure gonna get a lot of plain flavor accompanied to a little bit of strong flavor and u need that to be balanced
cut some off of the bottom and try it out and see if u like it, if its still strong then add some lemon juice or any type of acid all over it after u roast it to cut the strong flavor
