Re-dying hair with new color of manic panic?

About a month ago I had bleached my hair and then dyed it blue with manic panic. The color has faded a lot (the color at the ends is completely gone but every where else is still a little blue). I want to re-dye it red. Can I just put the red on or do I have to get rid of all the blue first?

Your going to need to get rid of the blue first here is a piece taken from their site

PROFESSIONAL TIPS ON REMOVAL OF COLOR FROM HAIR:

Hot Oil treatments, hairspray, shampooing and exposure to water will result in gradual fading of your MANIC PANIC Hair Color. A professional hair colorist tells us to remove the last bit of residue or stain on the hair (or to get color out immediately) make up a small batch of bleach mixture (MANIC PANIC FLASHLIGHTNING), and add it to 2 tablespoons or so of shampoo in a cup. Stir it up. Shampoo hair with this mixture, "kneading" the hair ... that means twirling the hair strand by strand in between your fingertips. Start at the root of the hair and work your way down to the end, and then back up. You should see the color disappear right before your eyes!

Then after you can do the red

You'll want to bleach it a little, jsut to pull as much out so you don't end up with more purple than red. The Manic Panic will condition it and make it feel nice and soft after though :)

Get rid of the blue first, otherwise the colors will mix.

If you're having trouble getting out the extra blue- just shampoo that sucker

I had mine purple and i let it fade for a while. Just dye it red. And then in a week or less dye it again and keep dying it till you get the full color you want. (/^o^)/

Get rid of the blue or it will turn purple when you add the red. Hair color doesn't overlap, it mixes.
