I looked at the file size and it's 2.5GB?!?!?!? i don't even know how this is possible? I have used a song, a couple clips and a few pictures plus two effects consistent throughout the video.
I use Final Cut Pro X and obviously i have an iMac so it should be quite fast. I exported the movie but i didn't render it, would rendering help? Sorry, i don't really know what rendering is!
Any tips? I know that there are compressor programs but i don't want to buy anything!

I would render the video into a common video format. Or you can choose an option like "export as" --> .WMV, .MP4, .H.260.
The speed at which the video is being ulpoaded can be affected by other things... Like if you have a background process that's connecting to the internet constantly. ie. Skype.

Remember, Youtube is a very well known and used website, its very common for a video to take a very long time to upload. Only the thought of how many servers Youtube has is maddening! Be patient. Though I do believe rendering does increase upload time I don't think its much effective. Try restarting your computer or re plugging your router. Best of luck.

Uploads times on youtube are ridiculous, you might want to contact the youtube support if it is taking an absurd amount of time though, I usually just leave it uploading whilst I'm asleep or out etc. You could probably try leaving it for a while and seeing the results later, sorry otherwise.

you are able to desire to verify your upload speeds. additionally, it coul dbe constrained by some skill with the aid of a firewall placing on your pc. If all else fails, bypass to the Library and use a extra helpful connection. BTW, 100MB is extremely large. See in case you will get a smaller format. YouTube will make if FLV besides.

Check your wireless connection or router. If that's not the problem maybe reboot your computer.
