There are more IDs, documents and papers for a Filipino than any other race on Earth. They LOVE having plastic card holders around their necks, the more cards, holders, pens in pocket and clip boards and tags and badges, the more important the person. At Manila airport this guy comes up, immaculate uniform , crisp white shirt and beautiful gold chevrons, trousers creased to a knife edge. Shoes so bright and shiny a mirror would cry. ID badge on lapel, ID card in lanyard around neck. Utility belt with all utility pouches bulging.Braids and rank cords and pins everywhere.
And this was only the mens room assistant.
Yep, Filipinos and name badges and ID'S are un--freakin--believable mate.
Barrio clearances, NBI, voters card , Postal ID, SS ID,every kind of license and certificate you can think of, laminated and on a cord around the neck--as I said, the more you can tie on the mightier you are. It is, without doubt, the FUNNIEST AND MOST RIDICULOUS thing I have seen anywhere but Filipinos just love it all.
So yeah mate, postal ID is a recognised ID in the PI.
However--to get one , you need a minimum of a birth certificate or mate--how else would --ANY-- ID mad Filipino even consider giving you one ?
The 24 hours is easily explained. This would be a --rush-- job as they say here. At once , now, urgent. Pay more of course but done straight away. Why did she do it--rush?
Are you kidding? Miss the chance of keeping hold of a sucker foreigner on the Internet. Definitely worth the --RUSH -- fee to have a quick ID knocked up. as she will probably scam you for much, much, much more than one ID. LMAO
Sorry to tell you this pal but knowing nothing of the PI and how it works as you obviously have no idea, I can see little miss -- no ID--- taking you for thousands. Good luck sucker, you're going to need it.

Something is wrong here. She is 24 yrs old, has NO ID, went to school (at least enough to learn how to use the computer), has lived in a town long enough to get a postal ID in one day & you believe all this?
Whenever somebody you have met online asks you for money - it is time to drop her & move on. These people make a good living scamming foreigners out of "support " money.

It takes a lot of paperwork, a good chuck of cash, and several days, to a week for processing.

Please ignore the poster above. I'm pretty sure you can find a scammer everywhere, not just in the PH. Anyways, it's really fast to get a Postal ID as long as you have the requirements ready. The Postal Office in my area is pretty slow/lazy but I still got it the next day. "Rush" ID's do exist but like what you said, it took her 1 day so that's normal.

you can apply postal ID less than an hour, long as the supporting papers is ready,
1. Sedula and certification with seal from baranggay and if living subdivision acknowledgement from HOA, this papers won't take a day.
2, ID pic
and presto.
* we are talking (only) a postal ID here, not any license that will require police certi and stuff like that. postal ID is not complicated at el.. :)
