I am fee shopping for a FHA loan and have started the pre-approval process with 3 lenders with a call into a 4th. One of these is my bank and the others came off a Fannie Mae website and Dave Ramsey's website. When you get your offers go to the bankrate.com website and look on the right.
Currently the 30 year average mortgage is at 3.96%
and the 15 year average is at 3.18%
Don't get fooled by any "no closing costs" offers.
They just hide it in their interest rates or penalties later on.
And I hope you know to stay away from ARMS and points.
