hi Rokky B, when ever you walk into a computer build place and you ask the question the first question that gets asked to you are you a gamer? that means do you like to play games on your computer so if your answer is yes you are a gamer than you would want a radeon 4870 and a Nvidia geforce 9800gtx. now these are the best on the market but some does not have the extra pci slot so just go with the Nvidia geforce 9800gtx or last years model Nvidia geforce 8800gtx. but now than what if you do not like gaming on a computer like me than the Nvidia geforce gtx 560 is a very good choice but let me tell you pal you could even go with the Nvidia geforce 9500gtx. so this could be your choice because you do not need a video card if you are not a gamer but i like to keep one anyway i'm sentementel. i have the Nvidia geforce gtx 560 and i am quite pleased with it. good luck i hope i was helpful to you

Source(s): but i noticed that you have quad wrote down and let me tell you i started keeping an eye right on the price of the quad video cards but good news the prices are coming down and they are reachable now so you might want to look into this. so take care :)

What are you trying to do exactly? If just gaming crossfire is kind of a waste of money since modern games don't come close to using top of the line hardware resources. (Unless of course you have a huge 50 inch monitor or something.)

GPU is fairly independent of other hardware in regards to performance, so in the Raedon vs Nvidia debate it is really just preference. Both have advantages depending on how the game uses resources, and again the top of the line ends up being overkill anyway.

Source(s): Best quality at a higher price: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N8... Nearly as good but $110 cheaper: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N8...

It really just matters what type of gameing. Whether you play Disc games such as console games(Call of Duty, Battlefield) or download games like (World of Warcraft, Minecraft) now these you would want a better graphics card because of the big world type games but console games have certain maps. But with your RAM all you need is something to make them look as good as possible! Good Luck!
