How are you sure God favors your religion?

Because man created religion. They see their god how they want him. Notice how there are so many different gods? Other religions don't believe in the same god as Christians do. They all have different gods that are creators. That should answer your question.

God does not show favoritism. God wants a relationship with the people he created(everyone on this earth). Compassion and mercy are not human traits, but the traits of God. God is on his own side it is people that must choose between God and the enemy. To be honest religion is mans way of trying to get close to God. I am a christian and we do not consider our ways as religion but developing a relationship with God. We put faith in that God made man to server him. Man however chooses not to. This is known as sin. Sin is basically doing things against God. Sin separates us from God as God cannot not stand sin and must one day judge it and those who commit sin. We believe though God has made away through sin so that we may not perish because of it. We have faith in that us by our own means cannot pardon our sins. This is what you call religion. People think that they can pardon their own sins through various means and have a relationship with God. Christians are taught that is impossible. Only God can pardon the sins of man. By developing a relationship with God, God forgives us of the wrongs that we have done against him. Developing a relationship with God means to obey his laws and commandments. So God does not favor one religion over another or a person over another. God wants you to be free from that. He wants to show the life he intended for you. A life filled with joy,happiness,love. Faith is what we use to see God. God can only do as much as one has faith. Faith is putting trust in something that you are unsure about. God says though that Faith in him is secure and trustworthy. So if you want to find out for yourself and you think that there might be a God out there watching over you, then put your faith in him and he will truly show you the right direction. God will always hear someone cry out to him for help ALWAYS. I know this because I have continually put my faith in him and in my life I see the results. Seek and you shall find.

God created man in his own image. God must love us like we love our children! God told Israel what he wanted to do, then Christ told his followers Jew or Gentile a little more of what we are to do. As far as what religion does he favor. I would have to say Messianic. It is more like the Jewish faith, but has the teachings of Christ and his mercy. The evidence or my religion is it gives you a better life then no religion or a luke warm religion. A example is I have followed my faith and have treated my children well, never neglected them for booze or drugs, and never cheated or abuse my wife. Most people in my community could not say all that of their fathers. Most of them follow their family tradition. I try and follow the tradition of my father. God!

People are faithful to religion because it's been forced upon them. When those people grow up, they don't have a true definite answer so they just go along with what they've been fed since childhood. It's also a form of belonging, comfort, security and mental haven for the weak. The intelligent people obviously see what religion really is...

They don't know, they claim to know.
