What do girl's muscular or toned thighs look like?

I know that my outer legs are toned, and my calves expand when I bring my knees to my chest, but I can't pinch any fat, because I know that means muscle.

But for my thighs, I'm not sure. I read an article that said if you can pinch a lot of fat around your thigh when you flex it, that means you are less muscular, but I can only pinch 1cm at the largest part.

Also, my legs do touch when my ankles are together, but only at the largest part of my leg, and at my knees, the rest is a significant gap.

Do muscular thighs touch? and what other features suggest they are toned?

It might be logical that muscular thighs could pull more weight. The Universal Gym machine has a cable to which weights are set and a chain to attach to the ankle. Attach X amount of weights and see if you can pull outward with the opposite leg, then move so that you can pull the weight across the front of the body diagonally. See how much weight can be pulled to work the abductors and adductors. Strong legs will pull as much as female body builders. To see people with well developed legs, try images of professional ice skaters, ballet dancers or entertainers who sing and do concerts involving strenuous choreographed routines. Olympic athletes such as Diana Nyaad can be seen on the internet using the image function. Measure the thigh. If it is more than 20", chances are there is room for improvement. Sit against the wall, with the legs parallel to the floor, the quads will be visible with a line, that shows the muscle. Do a lunge, the hamstrings will show, even if wearing tights. Harder to tighten are the adductors, between the legs. Good for that is riding horseback English saddle. Ballet exercises, such as plies might help. Ms Nyaad would be more concerned about the strength than pinching herself, so try to be more scientific and less hurtful, for you could get bruises that way.
