Religious Books for children?

We are a non religious house hold

My daughter (age 6) came home from school one day talking about God and Heaven (her friends family are devout christians)

So I was wondering if anyone knows of a good childrens book that explains different religions from around the world, so she can see that not everyone believes the same thing

Thanks

Update:

Vamp, if I dont teach her about it she is just gonna take in everything her friend says as truth

This book looks like a good overview. I admire how you’re teaching your child about the religions of the world, If you tell her nothing then you are correct in saying that she’s vulnerable to bias influence from this christian family.

What makes you so certain this family is wrong? As you are non religious maybe you need to study the bible so you can prove they are wrong.....if they are.

I hope you will allow your daughter to be taught about God and heaven. She deserves the opportunity. When she is old enough she will decide for herself if she wants to believe or not. She will have it thrown at her from every side by teachers and school friends and family members that there is no God. Let her have this input from the Christian family so she will have a more balanced view.

She will see that not everyone believes the same thing when she takes some science classes. lol. John 8:44 God Bless

-The LAST thing this world needs is idiots like you actually attempting to educate anyone. I can only hope your daughter spends more time with her friends.

    because books are more reliable?

really, you need to talk about it. You already understand that there are differences cultures share in religion.

I told my daughter that religion is man made, but gods are spiritual and come in many forms. You cant control gods through creating books about them. You can't make sense of the unknowable through prose.

Life is god, and religion is a flawed human control formula.

You could buy her the Children Illustrated Bible, retold by Selena Haskins, published by DK (Dorling Kindersley). There are many information about people and life in the Biblical times. Not only your daughter would like it, you too.

    Click on dk.com.

The new law is that no child under ten should become involved in religion( just answered this in detail.) It comes from Christ himself so do the right thing and wait for his further advice on these matters . he is on earth to teach us all yet again. Amen.

Can I just say that I admire you for teaching your daughter about religion the right way, this exactly how I would like to teach my children about it. Well done, I wish you the best :)
