My baby sitter charges us $20 a day (my daughter is 11 months and has been going to this sitter since she was 6 months old).
Frankly, I think she's underpaid, but she's the one who set the pricing, so who am I to argue.

people consistently pay different quantities. My niece purely all started babysitting and prices 8 money an hour (in holding with baby)... those you've been babysitting for had 2 childrens, so remember that. that's purely one. i imagine minimum salary is sturdy pay for babysitting. you may be observing the baby 9 hours an afternoon, so $seventy 2 an afternoon sounds sturdy to me... even with the indisputable fact that, it will be more desirable functional to assert $50 an afternoon, with the aid of the indisputable fact that ought to $100 and fifty for 3 days. Weekly 5 day daycares run $100 twenty 5 and up (the position I stay)... wish you artwork it out!

Well a lot depends on the child. If I babysit well behaved children I charge less than for a rambunctious child. This is because a calm child requires less ' work' than a hyper child as far as cleaning up after them, playing with them etc. So if the baby mostly sleeps then you don't want to charge too much for just sitting on the couch and keeping an ear out for the baby and the occasional poopy diaper. But if he's crawling standing scooting etc . Then your attention is on him at all times perhaps charge more. If its a friend of yours you might also wanna charge less. Heres how I do it
(calm/hyper)
Less than 3hrs - 10per child/12perchild
3-8 hrs - 6perhour (inc all kids)/8-9(depending on amt of kids 8 for up to three)
Overnight- 12 for each child then 2.75/3.50 per hour
It may seem drastic but the temperament of the children really affects how the job will go and you want to be fair on prices and make sure your getting your times worth.
Also be sure to get all the info you can. Babys birthdate, weight, usual doctors # mom and dads contact info two or three emergency numbers any allergies to food, soaps, medicines, color dyes etc. You will need all of it if god forbid you need to make trip to the emergency. Learn baby cpr and heimlich and carry your own first aid kit that way you KNOW you are prepared for everything from boo boos to something major.have fun be safe good luck.

I'm looking for part time care (3 days a week) for my daughter right now. She is 8 months old and I'm getting prices for home care for $30-35 a day. If I go with an actual daycare centre then they charge $40 a day. This includes two snacks, and a lunch. Normally 8 hours or so. To make it worth their while they have more than 1 child. You might want to make more.
Also, parents provide: diapers, wipes, formula, baby food, playpen(some) change of clothes and other things.
