I'm looking for an affordable dental plan in North Carolina, with a waiting period of no longer than 6 months. Any suggestions are appreciated.

you are not going to find this.
instead look into the dental schools, if any.

I'd suggest that you find your local dental school, and get your work done there for cheap.

Waiting period for what? Most plans don't have a waiting period longer than 0-6 months for preventative and basic. However, if you're talking about major services then you're going to be out of luck. Not that you can't find a plan that will do it, but you're not going to find a plan that's worthwhile that will do it.
The point of the waiting period is to keep you from doing what you're trying to do. You can't buy insurance when you need it. You have to buy it before you need it.
