Anything special about 1992D & 1983D pennies?

As part of dispersing my Grandmother's estate, I have been charged with dealing with her coin & bill "collection". Aside from a couple of uncirculated Carson City silver dollars I haven't found anything with much collector value.

In the safe were a couple of bags of sorted pennies - one of 1992 D's and one of 1983 D's. The 1992's appear to be uncirculated near-mint, but other than that I see nothing special about them whatsoever. Am I missing something? Is there anything special about those coins that would explain her keeping them?

There are some 1983 double die reverses but not 1983-D. The 1992-D has a close AM in America and a normal AM in America. I am not sure what, if any, price differential there is between the two. I am sure you would have to look at a lot of them with a strong magnifying glass to tell the difference.

1983's would have a chance of a Double-Die cast penny. They had some errors that year which appeal to people.

I'm not aware of any for them in 1992, but it's possible that's another year.
