Best Sounding mp3 Player?

From the list of producs that Creative labs offer which one is the best sounding. ik that the zen X-fi3 just came out but its very small and i don't want quality to be affected by this

http://www.creative.com/products/mp3/

I have very expensive headphones, and i noticed on my laptop/ home computer with a sound card sounds SOOO much better then my crap ipod. and i heard creative has the best mp3 players since they make sound cards. so yeah just wondering which u think would be the best.

Update:

i have a Bose MIE2 mobile headset and a Bose QuietComfort 15 Acoustic Noise Cancelling headphones. i'll probably be mostly using the mobile headset, but on long trips or at home i'll be using the QuietComfort 15.

May I ask what headphones you have?

Creative does not make the best sounding music players. The best sounding music players are made by Cowon and SanDisk (their Sansa Clip and Fuze lines). Neither brand sounds significantly better than the other, but Sansa is much cheaper.

Your Bose QuietComfort have quite a high impedance (72 ohms) so you will not hear their full potential unless you use an amplifier. That being said, there are many headphones under $50 that sound better without an amp than the QuietComfort 15 sound with an amp.

If you want more input on the best sounding mp3 player for your needs, I recommend that you take your question to anythingbutipod (music player focused) and head-fi (headphone focused).
