I know that guppies keep babies in them for 22 to 26 days approximately.

Edit: I answered another question and here is some info. I gave them in case you need it. If you don't let me know in additional details and I can get rid of it.

The fry need hiding places. I bought two female guppies. The store had separate tanks for the males and females. I made a mistake. There were babies. I used two breeding boxes and caught the fry in a net and put them in the boxes.

You can either do that or let nature take over where some of the babies will get eaten. You need some way of getting rid of the babies when they grow up to not overcrowd the tank. Overcrowding can lead to diseases. I learned this from keeping platties and guppies. Call pet stores up to see if they will buy, give you credit or even take free fish.

That is why they say a tank can hold so many fish depending on how big the tank is, how many fish you have, and what kind you have. If you need to know how many fish a tank size can hold let me know under Additional Details and I can give two links that show it. If you decide to save the babies I would get as many breeding boxes as you can. Two kinds they have are a net that you put around a plastic frame and another kind that is a plastic box with slots at the bottom or any other one that lets water in. Don't get any plastic boxes that don't let water in. Ammonia can build up.

Males poke females in the belly with their mouths to get them pregnant. The plastic ones you hang on the inside of the tank. They are good to keep the males in so they can't poke the females in case the female swims and gets between the inside glass and the box. That is if you want to control the population, which is good.

You will need a clean cup or some other kind of clean container to catch the babies and put them in to wash out the bottom of the box when it gets filled with poo. A fish expert let me know that baby fry need to eat several times a day, very small amounts each time. They sell fry food. I used to crush up adult food in tiny bits. Don't let any sink to the bottom of the box.

If you dont have any other fish than guppies, than just leave them be and your fry should survive, everyone says that they will eat their fry... Mine never did

Cant really tell you when she will give birth but i noticed on mine that their gravid spot turned pinkish then the next day they gave birth.

You can either throw a bunch of fake/real plants in the tank or you can but a fry trap.

When my guppies had babies i just put a really bushy plant on the bottom for the fry to hide in .
