Does anyone here agree with Carl Medearis?

I just read one of his books:

Speaking of Jesus: The art of not-evangelism

Update:

Paula: that is one thing that he does do.

He definitely has my respect and support if he spends much of his time in the MId East trying to spread the Word of God about Jesus among Muslims..

I do find and am amazed to note so much Muslims adapting Jesus in their newer beliefs in America in that it must be quite different that they never hear the Word of Jesus much in their country...

I am curious to know how they compensate or visualize their "salvation" for those who do not believe or accept Jesus as their Savior? It must be quite different, but no different for the Israelite Nation who did not know Jesus before his time I' m sure?

First, let me state that I speak from the Biblical perspective. No, I do not agree with him; his thinking is very convoluted. I heard about him, and I read an article written by him that fully explains his ideas. He kept making statements that Christians are putting up barriers between us and Muslims, and making it about "us" and "them." He asks in his article: "Why do so many Christians want to rebuild those walls?" Well... it's not Christians, but rather Satan who is the great deceiver who builds up walls and inspires many anti-Biblical man-made (idol centered) religions all over the world, none of which can save from Hell. True Christians stick to the true living God, revealed in the Bible, rather than man-made gods. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth and the life. There is no other way. Jesus said that true faith in Him would bring division. Some will be for Him, and some against. That's just the way it is. Jesus taught us NOT to initiate any violence, so any who do so are not true Christians. But if others initiate violence, we must patiently endure it, and continue to spread the gospel. Many Christians have died for their faith in the Arab world. What Carl teaches is an insult to them! What Carl seems to want is to get Muslims to like us and to like Jesus. But Jesus is not just a prophet/teacher for us to follow His example. He is Lord and Savior. We are to show love to individual Muslims, but we can't water down the message to make some kind of false peace between us.

He advocates: "Jesus the uniter of humanity, not Jesus the divider." No, Jesus is not a "uniter" of humanity. He came to first bring reconciliation between God and man; but men can only be truly reconciled to one another in as much as they are all reconciled to God. Also, Carl made the idea of "converting" Muslims to "Christianity" into something negative. He actually advocated in the title of his article that we should stop evangelizing, and in the article-just "speak of Jesus." If a person is to be saved, they must be born again, or converted to Christ, if He is indeed THE truth. All must repent and believe. Your eternal soul is at stake based on what you do with Jesus. Truth is not something relative in each person's mind. Forget this post-modernist nonsense. Truth is the actual reality out there, regardless of our opinion. And Christians believe that ultimate reality and truth is Jesus, God the Son. Yes, we must patiently, lovingly teach the Bible and answer questions for those seeking, but Christians are not here to make Jesus more palatable to Muslims or anyone else. The Bible says every knee will bow and confess that Jesus is Lord. If He is not your Lord and Master, He is no savior to you. Believe me, knowing Him is well worth it.

    No.

He is just one more believer who believes in Jesus.

But if he can bring about peace between Muslim and Christian then I believe in that.

If he says bacon is delicious, I agree with him.
