Should I sell my amp?

I have a FI Q 12" sub with the cooling and coul options. Its is a D2 ohm sub so i have the sub wired to 4 ohms and I am running my rockford fosgate p1000.2 bridged to it.Should I sell my Rockford fosgate p1000.2 amp in order to get a hifonics brutus 1700?

    I would change amplifier only if I planned on competing in car stereo contests. Most Rockford amps put out about 20% over rated power. So you really are seeing about 1200 watts rms now. On a single subwoofer setup going from 1200 to 1700 is only going to get you about half a db louder. A half of a db is almost unnoticeable to the human ear.
