What's a good mascara for length and separation?

I desperately need to cut my beauty budget so I need to drop my normal mascara (Chanel Inimitable Intense, $30). Any suggestions for a lengthening and separating mascara? No bad smells, smudging, flaking, or clumping please. It doesn't have to be drugstore but preferably under $20. Thanks!

Maybelline makes some pretty good mascaras, would probably suggest Lash stiletto, and don't choose Great Lash because it doesn't do much.

Bare Escentuals Buxom Lash! It's $18, a bit pricey, but I promise you. Totally worth the money. You will never use another mascara again. :P

Avon's SuperSHOCK mascara is amazing. No odor, doesn't smudge, flake or clump! It is $9.50, but always goes on sale.

I love l'oreals telescopic mascara it will separate and define your lashes to perfection. The wand is small and long which keeps it from smudging and i believe its about 9 dollars at target. Try it and if you dont like it you can always return it to target

You mean lengthening and defining mascara? The best ones I know for that purpose would be Maybelline Falsies Flared Mascara (Falsies FLARED, not the original Falsies) and Lancome Definicils. Both give you length and tons of definition so it's almost impossible for them to clump up.

I use either mascara everyday for length and definition and then I layer on the Maybelline Falsies (original) for lots of volume.
