Is this copyright infringement?
So I uploaded a video to YouTube and I put a song for my intro and this is what it said:
"Your video may include the following copyrighted content:
Acknowledged claims
"DJ Dean-Play It Hard", sound recording administered by:
SME
What does this mean?
Your video is still available worldwide. In some cases ads may appear next to your video. Please note that the video's status can change, if the policies chosen by the content owners change. Learn more about copyright on YouTube.
This claim does not affect your account status."
I know it said it will not affect my account status but i want to be sure.. Will I get a strike on my account? If so i will just take it down and re-upload it with the original song that I used

convinced! All of those characters are copyrighted and trademarked and also you'll favor to get a license from Disney to do this. Any trademarked personality is prohibited to replica, freehand or otherwise, and promote. you do not own the photos, for this reason you are able to not promote copies of them, besides the indisputable fact that they are made. that's completely nice to coach drawing by ability of doing this, yet you gained't promote them. And trust me, if Disney exhibits out, you receives sued, and Craigslist could also block you from posting commercials, because Disney can come after them too. there is an old putting forward "do not Mess with the Mouse."

Yes, it's copyright infringement
You are not Sony Music Entertainment AKA SME
you do not own the song's copyrights. If you paid for the song, you own a copy to listen to, not a copy to put on the internet

there is not a simple answer to all of your questions.
If you posted ANYTHING, video, audio, that you didn't write and record, it is copyright infringement.
that part is black and white.
the grey area, is what happens.
if you don't try to sell it or give it away,
your chances are, that they
'may" leave it alone, they may pull it down.
it all depends on how aggressive the artist and label are.
It's still illegal, but if you aren't selling or giving it away, they may or may not care.
They own the rights, it's up to them.
they probably won't sue you, if you don't sell it, it's not worth it.
edit
the ad money goes straight to the company that posted the site. (youtube etc)
the copyright owners don't see any of it.

This means they don't like you having that song on there but they might or might not do anything.
And there will be ads so they can pay for the copyright or whatever.
