How does one know if one has good quality weed?

Good weed is light green and has a pungent smell. The buds should contain orange or red hairs and have crystals (the more the better).

Brown specs & seeds -> not the greatest.

How do you know if it's pretty good stuff?

Well, I'm going out on a limb here but I would probably try SMOKING IT. If you get the munchies and start eating random stuff like BBQ potato chips with peanut butter & pizza with jalapenos & pickles on top... it may be good.

If you turn on Jay Leno or David Letterman and start laughing at ANY of the jokes...

Seeds=bad weed.

Good weed usually has a good odor ..I can smell when someone is holding good weed from ten feet away. Open the bag and smell it, it should have a strong skunky smell.

sounds bad to me,what weed is it as different types have different attributes.Is it indica/sativa is it a fruity weed or skunk /cheese.Good weed should carry a pleasant aftertaste after a toke and not harsh on the palate usually a sign of insufficient flushing.

You want a big, in tact bud with crystals on the outside. Seeds just means it's middies.
