How much time will this person spend in Jail?
Here are the charges.
BURGLARY I ASSAULT II ASSAULT III CARRY DANGEROUS WEAP/INTENT USE
CARRY DANGEROUS WEAP/INTENT USE MENACING CRIM MISCHIEF III
This is in the State of Oregon.
The assault 2 is considered a measure 11 crime
and the DA said that a total of 3 measure 11 crimes had been committed. The other two are because of technicalities or special circumstances of some sort. Can anyone tell me what other crimes can become measure 11s and also what amount of minimum, maximum, or even just assumed time this person might get
I know that he will be in jail until his trail is finished. that's not even close to what I was asking. I want to know, if these are hypothetically his final charges and what he goes to PRISON for, how long might he be there. Les, your answer sucked.

Measure 11 in Oregon means that its mandatory prison.
this is the minimum or mandatory prison sentences
Assault 1 = 7.5 years
assault 2 = 5 years 10 months (judge can exempt the person from this is he has no other serious offenses on his record.)
Robbery = 7.6 years
Well if they all run at the same time and he gets the minimum required you could see him in 8 years. If they run one after another and he gets the minimum you will see him in 20 or so years.
I suggest you find yourself a new bf....in fact I live in oregon I could be a candidate

He will stay in jail until someone bonds him out or his trail is finished if not bonded.
After conviction he may go to prison for a time but it would depend on the specifics of what convicted of, not just charged, and any agreements between him and the prosecutors office for a guilty plea on the charges.
