What are some good affordable acoustic guitars?

I don't accually know a certain type, but there is a magazine called Music Friends that have a huge variety of them.

I would recommend that you look at Yamaha, Alvarez, Fender, Ibanez and Takemine brands.

Buying a used one would also help on the budget, but stay away from Starcasters and First acts.

You will want to look at a straight acoustic, and not electric acoustic, as these will be cheaper.

Yamaha guitars are pretty good for the money you pay. Also, you could always buy a cheaper guitar and replace the strings as strings make a huge difference and aren't harsh on your bank account.

The Ibanez EW series is great for the price. They sound great, play great, and look REALLY pretty. I bought one a few years back for a little over $200, and everyone that plays it is impressed with the quality (another friend of mine went out and bought the same guitar!)

Tanglewood guitars sound beautiful and usually come with heavy-medium bright bonze strings. Beautiful sound, truly awesome!
