It`s more of a girls name than boys name, it ending with "ie", as in Marie, Jeannie, Joannie,. Man`s version would be Charley...

Not at all. I think it could be for both girls and boys, and I've heard it on girls as a nickname for Charlotte as well as their whole first name. I really like the name either way :)
