    Please provide a source for your claim that Vietnam shot AT the island.

    My sources say that there was an exchange of "Warning Shots" between Taiwan Marine Patrol and a Vietnamese vessel when the Vietnamese vessel entered Taiwan's territorial waters. Neither side was "shot AT", and the Vietnamese soon after left the area. There had been two similar incidents in late-March.
