will a plasma ball or a Tesla coil give out a stronger discharge if pressurised?

i was watching a youtube videos of telsa coils and plasma balls on youtube and that got me thinking would pressureised gas or an enclosed telsa coil discharge at a higher pressure be more spectacular.the resistance will be lower thefore the current higher?

The higher the pressure the more voltage needed to create a plasma. Once formed the more current to higher the density of the plasma. So it is a compromise, too much voltage at low pressure wastes energy. At higher pressures a high voltage would form a plasma and higher current would create a more dense plasma. A tesla coil increases the voltage at the expense of current.
