Torres gets 25 games...thoughts?

Torres is a big time repeat offender and Hossa was seriously injured - the time definitely fits the crime.

I like the suspension, but i think its rediculous that the NHL clearly has a hard time suspending "star players" for the same type of hit. Once the NHL stops putting the name on the back of the jersey as a huge factor, it will get better. Kieth's hit on daniel sedin was almost just as bad, and it got 5 games....

Just right, I think. It gives a message to other players who play a similar style as well as tellling Torres that his history of dirty, filthy STUPID play has to stop if he wants to play in the NHL. He intentionally tried to hurt Hossa. He's outta here!

Wow, incredible question. I by no skill concept approximately that one. a million. i might % Hell in a cellular 2. for the reason that i'm from Houston, the place Mania 25 is going to be, and so is Undertaker, i might bypass with the Undertaker. 3. i may well be the heel, so Undertaker can get the kudos. And, specific, i might lose this experience, lol.

If it was his first time having to go explain himself it would have been 5 games or so, but when you've already been suspended and fined within the past year the penalty will and should be greater. The league has been very clear about leaving your feet purposely to hit someone and it was quite obvious that is what he did.

i figured 10 games. but 25 at $21,000.00 each should open his eyes that's a lot of money to give away

it's for sure one of the longest suspensions that i can remember but the NHL is marketing their product and doesn't want to scare away the newbies

how many games was it that Betruzzi got for his sucker punch? that was truly malicous(sp?)

Too little too late. Torres is the scapegoat for a system gone bad. There should have been half a dozen more between 10 and 15 handed out before this one to reach 25. I waited until after last nights games before answering. Did it have any effect on Chris Neil? No so the only person that it had in impact on was Raffi Torres.

I personally am 100% in favor of this suspension. Shanahan has finally done something agreeable.

If THAT hit is worth 25 games......then the hit on Alfredsson was worth 15 at the least!(not the 3 that was handed out) GET IT TOGETHER NHL!!!

Kind of ridiculous in my opinion.
