I think that that could work if Quebec City, Seattle, or places like that weren't already in the running. Plus there are a lot of teams in that midwest area. As for what kevin said, the Denver metro area has about that many people, and we have 4 major pro sports teams (NHL NFL NBA MLB) and we love each of them very much. We also have MLS soccer, NLL and MLL lacrosse, and D.U. hockey all with a solid following, so it could be possible.

Milwaukee has a population of 2,014,032.
Typically you need at least 1 million or around that number to support at least 1 pro-team.
You have the Milwaukee Bucks, Milwaukee Brewers, and Green Bay Packers. I think it is already saturated, but you will never know.
Maybe, but considering that the stadium is kinda old and not suitable for hockey. I doubt it could supporting NHL team.
If you want another team around your area, another Chicago based team in Chicago is good because Chicago is still a big market.Any market with over 10 million people generally have 2 sports teams in each sport.
Portland, Seattle, Quebec, Hamilton, Houston, are the only good markets at the moment.

NBC only signed a great television settlement with the NHL and needs it to be as lots of a countrywide factor as attainable, by way of fact NBC is a community, with associates all around the rustic. The greater the NHL turns into based around only the great lakes, the northeast and Canada, the greater probable NBC will attempt to get out of that settlement. as a result, shifting a team to Milwaukee, perfect after the Thrashers left for Winnipeg, isn't likely. enlargement is likewise not likely, because it type of feels like the league is already overextended, with many franchises having monetary problems as quickly as their on-ice overall performance drops off. All that being reported, I lived in Wisconsin for a on an identical time as, and that i understand they love hockey, and that it relatively is a splash weird and wonderful that Wisconsin has communities in the different 3 massive activities leagues, yet not the NHL i think of the Milwaukee Voyageurs (sic) could be a sturdy call.
