Why don't someone call you by your name?

You would have to ask him why he never uses your name. Tell him (if you want him to change) that it's a little uncaring to say, "hey you" or whatever he says to get your attention.

It's very weird unless he uses your surname or a particular nickname that he's always had for you. In these cases, it's usually because he feels so close to you and considers you a good friend. But if you want your name used, then tell him to use it.

sometimes people just get acustomed to calling you something adn tehy stick with it. Like my buddies and I call one of our friends DIbbs, his real name is Devin but hardly anyone calls him that

I'm wondering exactly what your friend does call you. Is it "hey, you"?
