Do you ever feel embarrassed for theists when they give their "reasons" for believing in god or Jesus?
I often do because their "reasoning" is so obviously flawed and tangled up with emotional needs inculcated when they were children. It reminds me of the story of The Emperor's New Clothes where con artists convince a stupid, powerful man that only the wise can see the beautiful material used in the non existent clothing.
Perhaps we should be more compassionate toward these poor gullible victims!

I mainly don't care. Most of them could care less about the religion but choose to delude themselves so they can have a sense of community.. the rest just want to live forever.

And do you mock, jeer and try to put down those that don't fit your
thinking here?
All the atheists that turned to the Lord, do you mock them, and
all the agnostics that saw the light, do you sadly wag your
uh, head.
And what is so sad about being connected to the Creator,
Jesus Christ to the Universes. What is so 'entangled' about
Eternal life?
To you, you must find some debasing reasons, and while
I am delighted for anything approaching compassion which
I do think quite funny here, I'm glad you want to try
that emotion on, even if it's just mocking. Just saying
it might move you to a better direction in your life.

I am a christian not because I ask for atheists and antichristians acceptance and approval.I am a christian because of Jesus and the Gospel truth.Just because you appose christians doesn't make the mocks and *** ok.Just because you appose christians doesn't make you and others that are antichristians right.

In fact, I feel more embarrassed for the wise of this world (you, I feel certain) who consider themselves to be innately superior to their poor, week, foolish fellow people. And where did this great wisdom come from, oh most wise and knowledgeable sage. And why do you grace us, the ignoble and mean and paltry with your magnificent wisdom? We're not worthy! We're not worthy! We're not worthy!

Yes but I get equally embarrassed when the vast majority of secular atheists treat science like a religion, blindly believing the high priests of science with their mathematical mumbo jumbo (mathematics isn't mumbojumbo if you understand it but it is to the vast majority of people who don't understand it).
It is so like a scene from monty python's "The Life of Bryan", with the scientists saying "learn to think for yourselves" and all those atheists running after the scientists screaming " we will, think for ourselves.... tell us what to think!"
If you did a poll of how many people know acceleration under gravity is -9.81 m/s^2 I bet a lot of people know that, but ask how many took the time to drop an object from varying heights and timed the descent with a stop watch, plotted the graph and calculated g for themselves you'll understand what I mean. How is blindly believing what a science teacher says (even when that teacher is expressing an opinion about something outside the purview of his subject) any different from blindly believing what a preacher says in church or mosque or synagogue?
This doesn't apply to those who read a science text books and construct their own experiments to test the veracity of the claims and see for themselves, but it does apply to all those who blindly believe the conclusions without understanding the arguments.

I sometimes wonder whether any religious people really consider their own justifications, (especially considering that many on here are saying you will go to Hell - being tortured horribly for ever - just for insulting them) but I do think they should be entitled to their own beliefs, so long as they don't act on them. Also: Neither Darwin nor
Einstein was a theist, and neither had a deathbed conversion. Einstein had renounced theism by 12, and Darwin was convinced of atheism by a parasitic wasp.
However, it really isn't nice to insult people who disagree with you as much as you have. So long as there are no idiots so attached to literally reading an ancient book that they are prepared to murder people, live and let live.

Sometimes.
If I were you, I wouldn't be so concerned with showing those here compassion for not being as "wise" as you:
" For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them. For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse,
because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. Professing to be wise, they became fools,"

I would like you to know God. It would be kind of awesome to see the look on your face when you find out you were wrong after being so arrogant, but I wouldn't want to you to go to Hell just to see that.

You, certainly, ought to be embarrassed by your reasoning
(or lack thereof)
Many, myself included, became Christians in adulthood.
Would you consider Newton, Kepler, Darwin et al to be
'gullible victims'? Vanity, little man!
