If you were Iran would you go ahead and produce a nuclear bomb and why?
yes or no why.
@* bbtalk♫ Sha'mone☮ So you think countries like Saudi Arabia are happier living with nutty nuclear Israel, and Pakistan, and India, right stop bobbing for apples and start making sense in your life
@ Short And sweet actually what you say makes sense, and Iran is living up to it's NTP agreement, but what you said about Israel, to illegally have nuclear weapons for self security, I disagree with you I feel that total democracy in there would make more sense, there is and old saying here you could catch more flies with honey than with vinegar think about it son.
@ Dean your answer makes me throw a lung, I can't believe the level of ignorance that you have towards Iranian historical facts, as a matter of fact I will put your answer in a form of a question.
@ Snail you mean that Iranian nukes are dangerous for Israel, but Israeli nukes are not dangerous to Iran, son you're shooting blanks.
@Shay p you win the keg, you have the biggest castor oil answer of the bunch.
1 Iran doesn’t need to develop nukes, because they’re not as aggressive as you are, that’s the point that you can’t seem to understand.
2 what you call proxy terror groups are armed with 40 year old Kalishnikophs, and Hezbollah have never sent suicide bombers inside of Israel, and that you’re also oblivious to.
3 the worldwide oil commission regulates oil prices not one certain country, it’s set that way so there will be no bulling around, you didn’t know that did you, I’m from Texas boy so I do know something about how oil prices are set.
4 I disagree with you a nuclear Iran wouldn’t change a feather on one the kokoo bird’s head.
5 Why wouldn’t you outright admit, If Iran is a nuclear power, all the gulf states and the Arab world would line up with it and will go after Israel, and that’s what you’re really afraid of, isn’t it?
@ Mickey Ahmadineyad never said that first of all he was quoting Ayatollah Jomeini, and he referred to Jerusalem and it’s rulers, that will eventually disappear from the pages of time, which isn’t the same thing as saying, ( we will wipe off Israel from the map) as you said is it?

Actually if I was Iran I wouldn't make one I’d buy a few maybe a hundred from Pakistan or India, in secret, and stockpile them, if I make them then it’ll be more than obvious, and the nuclear board will find out about it, besides a nuclear manufacturing plant is too expensive to run, and might damage your environment, so buying them and keeping them hidden seems like the best option to me.
If your secondary question is why would I want to have nuclear bomb or not?
My answer is, if I was Iran I would want a nuclear bomb, because the US are in Iraq and Afghanistan, who have thousands of unclear bombs, and Israel has more than three hundred of them that can actually reach me, and they both want to wipe me off the map and they said that openly.
That’s why in a heartbeat I would want one.

America, as usual, have handled this in a heavy handed way. From day one Iran originally stated that it wanted to build a nuclear power station something dozens of countries world wide have done. If the US had offered to help them achieve this they could have monitored the whole event from within Iran itself. Instead they did everything possible including sanctions to stop any such project encouraged by little devious Israel who already obtained their atomic weapons illegally.
If I were an Iranian I would do just as Israel did and build a few but keep the world from knowing and keep Israel guessing.

NO - because Iran is an extremely violent country their nuclear bomb is dangerous not only to israel but to the whole world - you forget their leader is the one who keeps saying that the islam will rule the world

If I were Iran I wouldn't.
I'd also grant my country freedom from many of my tyrannical policies, lift the Islamic agenda on people, and kick Achmadinejad to the curb.
However, I'm not Iran (not even Iranian) so I can't implement that dream of restoring Iran to it's former glory.

People seem to be forgetting that Iran has threatened to "Wipe Israel off the map." It is for this reason that it should not be allowed to acquire weapons.
Whether Israel has nuclear weapons or not doesn't even enter into this debate, it has never threatened to wipe Iran, or any other country, off the face of the earth.

They agreed not to when they signed onto the NPT, & received help for other developments instead.
The Iranian people are -not- pushing for nuclear bomb. They are pushing for a new government. I'm in a agreement with them. If when they have a stable government we can revisit this question. Meanwhile, this one nuclear is seen as a threat by Arab states, Europe, & US... everyone within potential reach.
If I were their government, I'd live up to my NPT agreement.
Israel never signed any NPT. Israel would be gone in 6 months if they gave up their nuclear weapons. Israel has been attacked, and threatened repeatedly. Incluiding by Iran by proxy through Hizbollah & Hamas. Israel did not threatened Iran, nor start this -- if Iran is not nuclear, it is not at any risk from Israel. So Israel's agreements are not the same. (I say because when Iran is raised, Israel is raised.)

No, simply because the free world will not permit it !
if Iran were to develop a nuclear weapon, it would inspire a Middle East nuclear arms race in a region that is already highly destabilized from the Arab Spring. It would be foolish to think that the nuclear weapons would remain sequestered in the grasp of Iran because countries like Egypt and Saudi Arabia, among others, have already indicated their desire to develop nuclear capabilities if Iran were to do so.
Furthermore, Iran is known for its use of terror proxies across the globe, particularly its support of Hezbollah in Lebanon. If Iran were to build a nuclear weapon, nothing could stop them from sharing nuclear weapons with these terror proxies or other rogue states for use against American troops, civilians, and allies. And even if Iran does not share actual nuclear technology with their terror proxies, just being a nuclear power would vitalize Iran to increase its terrorist efforts against America, or as Iran’s leaders frequently say “the Great Satan,” without fear of retaliation. This would then put Americans in a much more compromised situation.
A nuclear Iran would also lead to stark economic ramifications for America because Iran would be able to leverage its new nuclear power to bully oil-producing nations into limiting exports, which would cause the cost of oil to drastically increase. This would then create a shock in our feebly recovering economy and would undermine any gains, however slight, from the Obama stimulus package and bank bailout. High oil prices would also limit domestic manufacturing and would significantly raise the gas price per gallon at the pump.
Therefore, a nuclear Iran would severely shuffle the hierarchy of world power and alter the current scheme of international relations in such a way that would undermine American influence abroad, particularly in the Middle East. After all, what rational actor would adopt an American-sponsored policy with the possibility of an Iranian nuclear retaliation?

No... but I would continue onward toward a peaceful use of the atom. Generate electricity, heat, etc. If possible, export these to neighboring countries at a reduced price in an attempt to raise their standard of living. This would make the U.S.A. and Israel look pretty foolish with all of the war talk going on. The fundamental need of this planet is to get rid of those things from every country and start living in peace with one another. Is that too much to ask?

No, because they'll be hurting themselves the most in the long run. Many countries, even Saudi Arabia and the west, refuse to live with a nutty nuclear Iran.Iran will be turned into glass if they ''ever'' make a nuclear weapon.
