In cross-country running, a team's score is the sum of the place numbers of the first five finishers on the team. The captain of the team placed second in a meet. The next four finishers on the team placed in consecutive order. The team score was 40. In what places did the other members finish? In need help ASAP!

Simply cute. 40-2=38/4 or 9.5. That means 2 above and 2 below 9.5 or 8,9,10 and 11.
