Some cruise questions?

Going on a cruise on 4/26 on the Explorer of the seas with RCCL.

Are there ironing boards in the cabin for clothes?

Am I allowed to bring the room towels off the ship on the beach, or should I bring my own?

Will I be able to charge my iphone on board?

Explorer is a great ship to cruise on; cruised on it last year.

NO, you cannot bring an iron and the ship does not provide irons like land based hotels. The only way to get clothes pressed is to send them to the ship's laundry for a fee. There is a fee schedule on Royal's web site and laundry service is pretty expensive. My advice, as an experienced cruiser, is iron your clothes at home and then put each piece that may wrinkle in a plastic cleaners bag (the kind your clothes come back from your cleaners in). The plastic bags will help prevent the clothes from getting wrinkles. Then when you get to your cabin on ship hang the clothes in the cabin bathroom and turn on hot water and let steam make more wrinkles drop out. Works for me.

Royal has bath towels in the cabin and changes those twice a day as you use them. The pool and beach towels are located on the pool deck and you must go check out towels for use at the pool and you can also take them off the ship to beaches. So you don't need to bring beach towels unless you don't want to be bothered with the ship's towel checkout policy.

You cabin will have an electrical outlet in the area of the vanity. Yes you can charge your Iphone, camera and other batteries and plug in anything electric. I suggest bringing an extension cord as it will make charging more convenient, especially if you have a couple things needing charging at the same time.

I would bring my own beach towel because it if is stolen then the cruise line will charge you for it.You can charge your iphone in your room. There are laundry rooms on most decks with ironing boards and irons, when you get on the ship try to iron all your clothes because when they have the fancy dinners you will find all the irons are being used by other cruisers.

There are no ironing boards in the room, but ask your room attendant where you can iron them. They have a laundry area where guests can go.

They have beach towels in the rooms that you can take off the ship, but make SURE you bring it back or you will be charged for it.

Yes you can charge your phone, camera, or whatever else you have. If you charge it and leave the room you may find it unplugged when you get back though. Sometimes the room attendants unplug chargers for safety reasons. They did this for my phone on my last cruise.
