  • Will starting a business bank account affect my SSDI?

I'm deafblind and getting SSDI. I've been looking for work for over 2 years, but due to my disability, people are hesitant to give me a chance.

I've been making and selling holiday chocolates to friends for Christmas, Valentine's Day and Easter. I'm branching out into soap, candles, and a few other things. I registered as a small business with my state department of revenue for a sale and use permit to allow me to sell non food item at fairs and farmer's markets, and obtained a federal emploter ID from the IRS.

I would like to make a business bank account so I can keep my business money separate so it doesn't get mixed with my personal money so that I can order supplies.

I'm wordering if doing this will affact my SSDI, or is it completely separate?

  • Can you text 911 in an emergency?

I searched other answers before I posted this. Some say yes, some say no, some say you'd get in trouble.

Me and my wife live with her parents while their house is finished being built. We recently found out that her step father's heart is weak, and has a potential to aneurysm if under stress or lifting heavy things. My wife works, and I stay home to take care of our son.

I'm deaf, which is the whole reason I'm posting this. I broke my leg a few years back and called 911 but couldn't hear when they picked up or answered or talked. I just kept saying I'm deaf, need ambulance, i'm at this location, and hung up after 3 times thru that. Ambulance did show up eventually.

To make it easier, if her step father has a heart attack or something when no one else is around, can I text 911 with the information? Obviously I'm nnot going to text them to find out, because that would get me in trouble.

  • Social worker malpractice?

I don't exactly know how to put this, so I'll start at the beginning.

Back in '06 I was depressed and was burning myself on the oven rack. My school noticed and they set me up with a therapist. I saw her a few times both at school and at home. I've always been kind of a loner, didn't really have much friends, possibly due the fact I have hearing issues and am legally blind. That summer, I worked at a camp and she visited me when I wasn't working and went out to sightsee. We shared a bed in a hotel. There was only one bed and I was tired. Anyways, a relationship developed. We started doing things together, like hiking or horseback riding. She brought me to her house a few times. Then one night she kissed me. I was uncomfortable and wanted to go home, so she drove me back. Since then we had sex, first with clothes on, and eventually they came off. before I graduated in '07, I moved into an apartment for the summer because things were bad at home with my foster mother and her boyfriend. (I moved out because the boyfriend tried to choke me) She took me on a trip to Costa Rica, then to a few other countries over the years. I moved in with her after the summer and we lived together sharing a bed and I'd work for her in her garden or doing stuff. I lived there until June 2012. During that time she was manipulative. I couldn't have any friends over. In Feb 2012 I broke my leg hiking with another woman. Over time that woman and I became close, and we had an affair in April. Then the woman I living with, my ex therapist broke up with me in June. I told her about the affair I had and she lost it. While I was out, she changed the locks on the doors, and wouldn't let me get my stuff, threatening to put it outside. After she removed my name from her bank account she wouldn't let me back to the house to get the things. Remember, I'm legally blind, and can't drive so she was my only way to get around. I could barely walk. My leg was nearly healed. I stayed at my grandfather's house for 2 weeks before I could get an apartment for myself. After I got the apartment, she let me back into her house to get my things. While I did love her before all that happened, that end was messy. She emailed me to ask if she could forge my signature for her home insurance to get some back back by saying she 'paid' someone to help her (me) remove tornado damage. I was living with her at that time, and did help, but didn't ask for money or anything.

So basically I became romantically involved my therapist. I know she did bill my insurance a few times, and I have proof that she was my therapist, and that I lived with her. It's been almost 2 years since I moved out, and I have recently recovered from all that trauma. What should I do? She shouldn't have crossed boundaries with me in the first place. I don't know if that's my fault because I was a loner. Help please?

Oh, and she was 20 years older then me.

  • Roommate refusing to pay her half of gas bill?

I had been living in a duplex from August til the end of February. My landlord finally found someone to move in to help split the costs of the bills in mid December. Before she moved in, I had the heat set to 62 and was doing everything I could to keep the bills down. When my roommate moved in, she wanted the heat set to 70 or 72. I changed it, but when we got the gas bill for usage in January it had increased 2.5 times from what I was used to. When I approached her to get a check for half of gas and electricity, she initially refused to pay and wanted me to take her to court to get the money. She finally did give me a check a few days before it was due. I moved out at the end of February because she was verbally abusive and things were just getting uncomfortable. She switched the gas bill into her name, but I got the final bill for February. I sent her the bill by letter and asked for half of the amount. I even enclosed a SASE so she could mail it back to me easier. I hadn't heard anything back from her. Tuesday I sent a copy of the letter, plus another copy of the bill and another envelope to her by certified mail. Still haven't heard anything. So I believe she is going to ignore me and refuse to pay. My question is this: is there anything I can legally do about this? My lease said that tenants must split the utilities. My landlord however says he can't legally get involved in this situation. If I don't pay, what will happen? I don't know if it's possible, but I will call the gas company and see what would happen, and if they will put half of the amount onto her bill or shut off services until the bill is paid. Any help?

  • Thinking about kayaking down the Connecticut river?

Well, I've been thinking about this for a bit, and I want to kayak down the CT river next spring/summer. I plan to start in Springfield, MA and go all the way to the ocean, then follow the coast and finish at Mystic, CT.

I've been trying to find some information on that stretch of river and can't find much. I came across a site that said there was rapids past Enfield. Is there any waterfalls? I sure don't want to go over one by mistake.

I estimate that it'll take a few days, maybe as much as a week to get to the end. Does anyone have ideas for food, camping equipment or anything else? I feel like I have to assume things will get wet at one point or another. Like from going down the rapids. Also, any ideas where I would be alllowed to stop for the night and set up camp? If I landed on a deserted island, would it be ok to spend the night there?

    Thanks for your help!

  • Model train questions?

    Hi

I've always been interested in trains. Lately I was out at a park and they had a train running through the garden. It made me think about getting a model train set and having a little fun with it, maybe even setting it up in my garden.

I was doing some research on the matter and came across a lot of different scales. Or maybe it's gauge. I understand the difference between the two. Gauge is distance between the rails and scale is the size in relation to the real one.

Anyways, I saw HO, G, N, and some others but really am not sure what they mean. I did read about them, but don't quite understand it.

Can someone recommend a train set for a first time user? I was thinking of getting a Bachmann set.

  • Question about lease?

I have a friend who recently moved to Mass from Minnesota with her partner. They rented a house and both are on lease. They recently broke up.

My question is this: is there any way my friend can either break lease so it's not in her name, or just leave? She is having problems with her ex, and wants to get out of the house. Her ex is suicidal, and not making good choices.

What are the options here? She's posted an ad for a place already.

  • Nail problem in the floors?

This seems to happen mostly in the cooler months.

I have some nails in the floors that keep coming up from time to time. There are about 7 of them in the whole house that do this. They get hammered down, but keep coming up.

Does anyone know what the problem is, and how it can be fixed?

    Thanks.

  • Where can I find ship information?

I'm going on a cruise with RCL in late April. I'm going on the explorer of the seas. Anyone know where I can find information on activities and things to do on the boat? I can't seem to find it on the site.

    Thanks.

  • Recommended target board for throwing stars?

I have a throwing star that I bought several years ago, but don't really have a target board for it. I thought about buying a styrofoam board but I'm concerned it will fall apart fast. Do you have any recommended target boards for throwing stars? Or how can I make my own? What kind of wood is soft enough?

    Thanks!

  • Tornado damage insurance question?

I live in Springfield, Massachusetts and my house has some damage due to the tornado we got here. Mostly siding and my front glass door.

My question is: What percentage of the siding is damaged before the insurance will pay to replace it all? I heard somewhere that it was 25% percent, but not sure. My house's siding is about 60 - 70% damaged.

    If possible, please provide sites.

  • Best character for dungeons? WoW?

What's the best character for dungeons/instances in WoW that uses melee? I have a human warrior, and it's nearly always at the bottom of the damage done. How do other people target and attack? Is there a macro for this?

  • WoW instance DPS tips?

I have a new character I started because I was curious about tanking/DPSing. It's a level 15 human warrior. I went into my first instance a while ago and the monsters kept running past me to the tank, or I couldn't click on them through the other players. Does anyone have tips for doing an instance with melee? Or any recommended attacks?
