did i eat well today? too much?

i had

40g of shreddies with some full fat milk

lettuce, with about 10 tiny cubes of chicken breast (no skin) (each cub was about 2cm by 2cm by 2cm) & 10 crutons

an omlette: 3 egg whites with tomato and sweetcorn (not fried,just heated in a non-stick pan)

one toast

a banana

and one multivitamin tablet

    Canada's Food Guide suggests 5 - 12 servings of Grain each day (brown bread, whole-grain pasta, brown rice, cereals), 5 - 10 servings of Fruits & Vegetables (cooked or raw), 2 - 4 servings of Dairy (milk, cheese, yogurt) and 2 - 3 servings of Meat or alternates (fish, eggs, tofu, peanut butter).

    So far you had 1 grain and 1 dairy for breakfast

    1 vegetable, 1 meat, for lunch

    3 meats (the egg whites) 2 vegetables for dinner

    1 more grain

    1 more fruit

    I think you need several more whole grain foods, and lots more fruits and veggies.

  • Yes, you ate healthy today. I would almost suggest eating more though. But, you were able to get in all of your food groups.
