What is the best college in or around Bangkok?

My daughter is half Thai, with Thai passport and birth certificate. Speaks Thai well, but not perfect. We live in America and and have family in Bangkok. Our other home is in Krabi. I am worried she will not get as good of an education there as America. Will she? What are the costs of tuition and private housing? I don't want her to drive, or take public transportation. What does a private driver cost? If you could be so kind and answer what you can, that would be helpful.

Bangkok University has one of the best international programs available. I am currently studying communication arts here and though my first language is English and I come from a French high school, I find the classes very informative and interesting. They are high level classes. I was in Sorbonne in Paris last year and I find the classes here more interesting and the teachers much more invested in their students. Bangkok University isn't expensive and has a city campus, unlike Thammasat or ABAC. People may think it not to be as good as other universities, but that is untrue. Chulalongkorn may be famous, but the international program is atrocious. It is famous for it's Thai program.

Located in sukhumvit, it is very easy to find accommodation. In soi 40 (which leads straight to the university) there is a condo called "Condo One". Very nice accommodations and costs about 14000 baht per month. A more luxurious option is Remix 38. For a very nicely designed room of slightly larger proportions, it costs about 30000 baht per month. I do not know how much a private driver costs, but there really is no need for that. Bangkok is very safe and I take the BTS and taxi to Uni everyday. I am 20 years old and live alone. I come back alone sometimes at 3-4am and have been doing so since 14 years old. I have never had any problems whatsoever. Just keep your bag closed in case of pickpockets and be careful when crossing the streets. Bangkok is much safer than Paris.

    In order of seniority:

    1- Mahidol (medical)

    2- Chulalongkorn (legal)

    3- Thammassat (arts)

    4- ABAC (buinsess)

    5- Kaseth Sart (agricultural)

American training is probably a lot better. But the above are pretty good. All of them offer international programs.

Private housing varies from Bt 2500 dorm rooms to +Bt 500.000 luxury condo's. Depends on what you want to spend. I take it since you're looking for a driver a dorm room is not for you. A small condo probably Bt 10.000. A school near the skytrain or metro would save you the driver.

    Chula, Thammasat, Mahidol.

It also depends on what she wants to study. My girlfriend studied business at Thammasat and almost her entire class have found jobs in big consulting companies and multinationals. Their international program is very good and the students do well in international case competitions.
