How do torrent uploaders earn money?

They don't, unless they include some FUD virus that silently visits an adf.fly or something simmilar, mines bitcoins, etc. Usually it's just warez kiddies looking for attention.

The Up-loaders don't a earn penny they just share media which as far as i know is legal. Its the site owners who earn the money by advertisement, You must have seen ads on torrent sites unless you pay the premium service... Or on some sites you have loads of links around the torrent download link which look similar so they can try and trick you. On Kat.ph the only ad is when you first sign in. Thats why the site owners get the harshest punishments. Even with one advertisement on the site you can earn thousands of pounds. Unfortaunatly :(

They are agents of ISP providers. The guy downloading and the guy seeding the torrent, both pay for the data usage to the ISP [Internet Service Provider]. More the torrents, more is the data share and more the ISPs can charge/gain from it.

no one uploads anything on Torrent sites, they share files online and when someone else downloads the same file in practical it gets uploaded from the sharing user.

Fraternity people call Torrent as illegal. but frankly speaking , it actually helps share files and rare videos which you even may not find in shops/outlets.

but yes there are virul activities a couple of times. there is no gain without pain. be smart to counter them
