Atheists where do you find your self worth?

In the event there is no God what follows in relation to my inherent value of myself (and all of humanity for that matter) and my (our) purpose and self worth?.

In the event there is no Creator the ONLY difference between myself (and any human) of and a lump of coal is simply the difference in the way our atoms have been placed together over time.

Is my chemical and atomic structure worth any more than a rock or pile or dirt? If so why and how?

If there is no Creator all we are (or I am) is essentially just a unplanned conglomeration of atoms that has appeared over millions or years.

I am (and all humanity is) just atoms. Nothing more, nothing less.

With no Creator we are just a cosmic and chemical accident.

With no Creator is the issue of self worth and purpose becomes more of challenge with no Creator. However because I believe I have a Creator I have self worth and my purpose is to bring good things to others because I have inherent value, and my belief in a Creator myself causes me to value humanity and myself. (because we a different to everything else created)

I believe my own self worth (and that of all humanity) is further demonstrated that my Creator appeared on earth in human form in History so that, if I (people) choose to, I (we) can experience an form of relational interaction with our Creator.

Can any Atheist provide some logical argument or reason if humans have more self worth that any other form of substance with an Atomic structure, in the event there is no Creator.

"Atheists where do you find your self worth?" I find it in the relationships I've created and nourished with friends family and coworkers. I find self worth in having a career that helps the larger human social community. I find self worth in helping others, including those more fortunate, less fortunate, and on par with my own well being.

Sometimes the arrangement of the matter IS what makes something more worth while to someone. For example, a chocolate chip cookie's atoms in the arrangement of a cookie is worth a lot more to me than the same atoms in the arrangement of the stool I will create out of those atoms. The arrangement is part of what gives us worth.

"With no Creator we are just a cosmic and chemical accident." Wrong for two reasons. 1) even if there is a creator that does not necessarily mean that we were not a cosmic and chemical accident because the creator could have created a system where life is an accidental process. 2) life is a deterministic system governed by natural laws. It is no accident that RNA and DNA self-replicate.

"my belief in a Creator myself causes me to value humanity and myself. (because we a different to everything else created)" Good for you! Others can find self worth without needed to rely upon claims of creators that we've never seen any evidence of. Others can value humanity without any need for an authority figure to tell them to do so. There is no evidential benefit from belief in the supernatural that cannot come from secular means.

"I believe my own self worth (and that of all humanity) is further demonstrated that my Creator appeared on earth in human form in History so that, if I (people) choose to, I (we) can experience an form of relational interaction with our Creator." Provide evidence that your version of the creator did this.

"Can any Atheist provide some logical argument or reason if humans have more self worth that any other form of substance with an Atomic structure, in the event there is no Creator." Yes.

Worth is a subjective matter. What one finds to have value may not hold value for someone else and vice versa. Therefore, self-worth exists as long as there is someone who values who and what you are, including if that person is yourself. Even your version of worth is subjective since you are basing it on a being that you call "the Creator." Heck, your entire rant is basically, "If my version of the creator doesn't exist, worth doesn't exist" meaning that worth is subjective to your creator.

Thus, worth is subjective regardless of the creator issue or not. Therefore, Occam's Razor, from my point of view, shaves off the unnecessary extra baggage of your Creator which is asserted to exist and to have appeared in human form in history without any evidence to back them up.

"In the event there is no Creator the ONLY difference between myself (and any human) of and a lump of coal is simply the difference in the way our atoms have been placed together over time."

In that case you really don't have any sense of self-worth. So your compulsive need to believe in a deity makes sense: it's your only hope of getting any kind of validation in life. It would also seem to follow that religious dogma is the only reason you treat people as being more than pieces of carbon fuel, in which case you don't sound like a very moral person either.

My sense of self-worth comes from my skills, my talents, my experience, my accomplishments, and the help that I do for other people, for starters. No imaginary friend necessary.

"Can any Atheist provide some logical argument or reason if humans have more self worth that any other form of substance with an Atomic structure"

That's a different question than what you asked initially, and on top of that it makes no sense. An inanimate object that doesn't have a sense of "self" in the first place can't have any sense of "self-worth".

no because you have no more ''self worth'' than coal, simply because its absurd of talking of worth outside the human mind

By who you are and what you do. Your self worth is up to the person considered to judge, or perhaps not judge, depending on what they want. One need only judge themselves and their worth only if it's useful to them.

Same place you SHOULD get yours........ your self

EDIT: this only proves my point people like you rely on god to feel a sense of worth, it almost a crutch for you and i don't need one.
