Why don't i care? (doesn't sound serious but it is, the wording just makes it sound dumb)?

Ok thanks for at least clicking on my question. So I don't know why but things that most people would be affected by such as somebody dieing, being sad, getting horribly sick etc; are things that don't affect me. I don't know how to really explain it that well but a tragedy that happens to somebody else is like telling an old joke (except it doesnt make you laugh, just makes you sad), it gets old and after it gets told so many times you dont even smile or smirk. Could somebody please explain why i don't care? I'm trying to be sincere with this question, but the wording makes it seem like im not
