No, but I'm in Australia. .... But a few years ago, a similar thing happened down here. At the time, our Prime Minister was John Howard (Liberal). He was up for re-election against Kevin Rudd (Labor). The union I was in at the time, the NUW, tried to force every member to 'voluntarily' contribute $25.00 to pay for a TV campaign against the PM John Howard. ... Where I worked, everyone fell in line except for 2 people, me & a Thai fellow (I forget his name). .. The organizers then came to us individually to try to con us into signing over the money. ... They eventually tricked this other guy into thinking that he had No Choice in the matter. ... I just argued that I was not going to give money to a campaign Against a person that I was planning on voting For! (even though there were some tough issues at the time.) ... The argument raged on all lunch time & a bit longer. Finally I just said "look,, it's a hard enough choice for me to make on who to vote For. On the one hand, I say that John Howard is the best PM for this country at the time, while nobody has heard of Kevin Rudd. .. But on the other hand,, I'd like to see Rudd get in as Prime Minister, because his Deputy, Julia Gillard, is my cousin & I'd like to see her do well." ...... Anyway, that's all just History now.

Obviously a scam; why would you have to donate $10 to someone who's electing as president? Doesn't sound very logical.
